Todd Herring started working on cars at a very young age. Building his first speedway car and racing it at the age of 11, ignited his passion for racing. At the age of 18 Todd started his own Auto electrical and mechanical business, here started his journey into the world of performance cars. In 2005 Todd lived in England working in a performance workshop, where he was mentored by a well experienced engine builder and fabricator that had been in the industry for over 40 years, tuning his skills in the industry even further.

 

After returning to Australia, In 2012 Todd brought his first Mazda MX5 race car and started competing in racing events along side his brother and cousin. This started his passion for circuit racing, building and developing fast, reliable race cars and engines. This is when Herring Racing was born,,,, brothers, cousins, sons, wives and mates, all sharing their problems, theories, solutions and experiences along the way. These years of research, development and success has earned Herring Racing one of the most trusted and respected names in MX5 racing in Australia. Our experience and knowledge is not only limited to Mazda MX5's, developing a broad range of road and race car makes and models on the way.
